First Stop:  Tulum -- is the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city serving as a major port for Coba, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.[1] The ruins are situated on 12-meter (39 ft) tall cliffs along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsulaon the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.[1] Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya; it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. Old World diseases brought by the Spanish settlers appear to have resulted in very high fatalities, disrupting the society and eventually causing the city to be abandoned.[citation needed] One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for tourists.

Second Stop:  Lagoon Kaan Luum that features a deep Cenote -- Sometimes we don’t like sharing everything, because some places are just so nice we don’t want too many people finding out about them. Kaan Luum Lagoon is one of them. This laguna is a beautiful place just south of Tulum. Because of it’s location, we know many of you will not be able to go since many people are busy with tours and other attractions. But for those that can, we just had to share this with you.

What makes Laguna Kaan Luum special is the color of the water and the fact the center is a deep cenote. Some say the center is about 80 meters (262ft.) deep. You can tell the color contrast between the center of the lagoon and the sides. This is also a not very well known location to go swimming since many of the other cenotes in Tulum are move visited and well advertised.

Last Stop: Xpu Ha Beach -- Join the rest of the group at the beach for the remainder of the afternoon.

Nestled right between Playa del Carmen and Tulum is an oasis most tourist drive right by. Xpu Ha is the quintessential white sandy beach and turquoise waters we all think of planning a Mexico vacation. We are guilty of staying in the popular towns Playa del Carmen and Tulum (which we love them both) but on our recent trip, we added on 3 nights of glamping at Serenity Camp which is now one of our favorite hotels in the Yucatan. Whether you are coming just to spend the day on Xpu Ha beach or spending a few nights at one of the hotels on the beach – here’s everything you need to know about Xpu Ha Mexico.
